Use of Health Connect Permissions
This page outlines how and why the Bevoy application uses Android’s Health Connect APIs. We are committed to transparency, privacy, and full compliance with Google Play policies and GDPR.
1 - Introduction
Bevoy is a workplace wellbeing platform that encourages healthy lifestyle habits through walking, cycling, and other forms of physical activity. Our platform includes features such as individual and team challenges, gamified progress tracking, and a reward system called LifeCoins.
To power these features, Bevoy uses Health Connect on Android to import fitness and activity data. We only access this data with your explicit consent, and you can revoke access at any time.
2 - What Data we collect via Health Connect

Track your daily walking activity for walking challenges and visualize your progress in the Bevoy Circle
Cycling Distance & Pedaling Cadence
Used in cycling-specific challenges and to visualize progress in the Bevoy Circle
Exercise Sessions
Recognize and log general physical activity to include in wellbeing challenges and the Bevoy Circle
Distance
Measure the distance covered during walking and cycling activities for both challenge tracking and progress visualization
Total Calories Burned
Used solely to help you understand your physical effort in the Bevoy Circle. Not shared or used in group scores
3 - Why we collect this data
We collect and use this data exclusively to:
Track challenge progress – Both for individual and team-based health challenges
Visualize personal progress – Via the Bevoy Circle, a gamified wellbeing tracker
Reward engagement – Users earn LifeCoins, our in-app currency, based on activity metrics like steps or distance. LifeCoins can be exchanged for company rewards or charitable donations
4 - How your Data is used
You can only see your own activity data.
In team challenges, only anonymized group totals are shown (e.g. “Team A walked 150,000 steps”).
Your individual data is never visible to other colleagues or participants.
All processing is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We do not share or sell your data to any third parties.
5 - Consent and control
You are asked for explicit consent when linking Health Connect for the first time.
You can revoke access at any time via the Bevoy app settings or directly in the Health Connect app on your device.
If access is revoked, no further data is imported from Health Connect.
