Chapter 4
Healthy Communication

“To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world.”

– Tony Robbins

Check in often

“How are we doing communication-wise?” is a powerful question.

It keeps small problems small.

Keep learning

Read, listen, or practice.

Good communicators never stop improving.

Be the example

People copy what they see.

Model the tone and habits you want around you.

Respect differences

Culture, language, and style affect how people speak and hear.

A little awareness avoids a lot of conflict.

Reflect on how you showed up

After tough talks, ask yourself what worked and what didn’t.

It’s how good communicators get great.
